I ordered a light fixture. It was easy to order and came quickly, but once it arrived, the glass had an obvious manufacturing flaw in it. I still wanted the fixture, so I contacted Houzz for a replacement.

In the end, it took 2 weeks to talk them into letting me return a fixture that was defective (they wanted me to wait 3 months to return it to the manufacturer directly, who was currently out of stock: "you'll be able to get a replacement in September." :-/ ).

Now, its been over 10 days since they RECEIVED the item back, and still no refund.

It is unfortunate, because I need to replace ALL the fixtures in the house and ordered this one to see the quality. I would have still happily selected another fixture from them if this one was out of stock. Now I'll just order all 15 fixtures from another site all together.

Making it difficult to return damaged/defective items may make them a quick buck here and there, but it will definitely cost them more in the long run. Houzz needs to get their act together and actually see the importance of return customers.
